Shipping policy

Shipping Policy

Effective: March 2026

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed through https://nzpackaging.nz, operated by NZ Packaging Limited (trading as NZ Packaging).

1. Shipping Areas

We ship to all addresses within New Zealand, including rural and remote locations. We do not currently offer international shipping.

2. Shipping Rates

Our standard shipping rates are as follows:

       Orders over $200 (excl. GST): Free standard delivery nationwide

       Orders under $200 (excl. GST): $20 flat rate nationwide

There is no additional surcharge for rural delivery.

All shipping charges are displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

3. Oversized, Heavy, or Freight Items

Some products — such as bulk quantities, pallet loads, oversized items, or certain hazardous goods (e.g. cleaning chemicals in large volumes) — may not be suitable for standard courier delivery and may require freight or specialist transport.

If your order includes items that require non-standard delivery, we will contact you after purchase to discuss freight options and any additional charges before dispatching your order. If the additional freight cost is not acceptable to you, we will cancel and refund that portion of your order in full.

Freight charges for oversized or heavy items are calculated on a case-by-case basis depending on the size, weight, and delivery location.

4. Same-Day Dispatch

Orders placed and confirmed before 2:00 pm on a business day (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) will be dispatched the same day, subject to stock availability.

Orders placed after 2:00 pm, or on weekends and public holidays, will be dispatched the next business day.

5. Estimated Delivery Times

Once dispatched, estimated delivery timeframes are:

       Urban areas: 1–3 business days

       Rural areas: 3–5 business days

These timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delivery times may be affected by courier capacity, weather events, public holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control.

6. Courier Partner

We use Post Haste as our primary courier partner for standard deliveries. For freight and oversized items, we may use alternative carriers and will advise you accordingly.

7. Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details. You can use the tracking number provided to monitor the progress of your delivery via the courier’s website.

8. Partial Shipments and Backorders

If part of your order is in stock and part is on backorder, we may ship the available items immediately and dispatch the remaining items when they become available. You will not be charged additional shipping for subsequent shipments of the same order.

You may cancel any backordered item at any time before it has been dispatched by contacting us at sales@nzpackaging.nz.

9. Delivery Instructions

If you have specific delivery instructions (such as a preferred delivery location, authority to leave, or site access requirements), please include these in the notes field at checkout or contact us at sales@nzpackaging.nz after placing your order.

We are not responsible for goods that are lost, stolen, or damaged after they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions or left at the delivery address as per standard courier practice.

10. Inspection on Receipt

Please inspect your goods promptly upon delivery. If you notice any damage, missing items, or discrepancies, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at sales@nzpackaging.nz with your order number and photos of any damage. Refer to our Return and Refund Policy for further details.

11. Failed or Refused Deliveries

If a delivery is refused or cannot be completed due to incorrect address details, unavailability at the delivery address, or other reasons within your control, the order will be returned to us. In this case:

       You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.

       Re-delivery will incur an additional shipping charge.

       Alternatively, you may request a refund less the original and return shipping costs.

12. Risk of Loss

Risk of loss or damage to goods passes to you upon delivery to the address provided with your order. If you believe goods have been lost in transit, please contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date and we will investigate with the courier on your behalf.
